God, I love this idea. When I was a kid I had a bike headlight. It was a wired contraption that connected to a motor that was run from the front wheel. Besides the motor making it harder to pedal, I had this bad habit of randomly spinning the handle bars when I was just sitting on the bike.
Well the wires weren’t very long. After the third time I accidentally did this and ripped out the wires, I threw the stupid thing away. The invention in the link uses magnets passing by each other on the wheel to create electricity. So you don’t have it slowing you down, and with LED lights, everything is easier to power.
