I’m not completely convinced criminals learn that much from television anyway. For example, just take a look at those pedophiles who get caught by the “To Catch a Predator” show. They even admit to have seen the show before and yet they still fall for it. Some of them even get caught by the show more than once. What a bunch of morons!

I skipped referencing crimes of impulse or addiction. Obviously the fact that you will get the electric chair does not stop killers. I have watched people get into fights in front of cops on shows. Rage overtakes common sense and that is how a lot of people get caught.

The article aboves has forensic teams complaining that CSI is teaching criminals to cover their tracts better.

And the people in “To Catch A Predator” have a addiction/impulse problem. That is different. I think career criminals have the most to gain from these shows. On top of that for many years people have complained that jail is just Super School for Criminals. All they do is talk to others who have committed crimes. The best networking a criminal can find.

One last note, Macguyver always left out one ingredient for his concoctions just so people wouldn’t replicate it.

I dont think those paedophils where stupid. They simply searched for fame and glory…
