UFCMania.com has come out with the payday for last Saturday’s UFC 76. Once again I am amazed at how little these fighters are paid. The main event was Lidell vs Jardine. Jardine was paid $7000 to show and another $7000 to win! That is all. Lidell was paid $500,000. According to the article, no one was paid more than $85,000. So with Jardine as a main event fighter 11 other fighters were paid more. It still boggles my mind.
I guess this is why I am not in that business. I would not have the balls to walk up to Jardine and offer him $7,000 to fight. I guess this is why you get a good agent and do what you love for a living.
