SALEM, Ore. — Two women were arrested after they parked a stolen truck outside a county jail Tuesday, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.Deputy Dave Wagner, who was at the Marion County Jail on Tuesday morning, heard a call of a stolen truck near the jail about 8:30 a.m., KPTV-TV in Beaverton, Ore., reported.He found the 1984 Toyota truck, which had been reported stolen last weekend, in the jail parking lot. Two women were inside the truck at the time, deputies said.
When deputies searched the stolen truck, they found nearly 21 grams of methamphetamine as well as scales and packaging material, according to the sheriff’s office.Chelsi Guinn, 24, and Kristie Jeffers, 25, both of Salem, were arrested and then booked into the jail on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.Guinn also had an outstanding arrest warrant on a charge of probation violation.Jeffers, meanwhile, has a long criminal history, including drug, theft and forgery convictions, deputies said.
