She downloaded 24 songs is ordered to pay $220,000. The record company could have tried to sue for the 1700+ songs found in her folder and the rules allow $150,000 for each song “willfully” breaking copyright infringement.

Others apparently sued for a few thousand but she didn’t want to be bullied.
