Punisher:War Zone
The first Punisher was supposed to be the “Mother of All Vengeance Movies.” It wasn’t. I can be a comic movie apologist but they set the bar too high and couldn’t even come close to delivering. Thomas Jane is gone which I felt fit the look for the role.
So now they have a new guy and will use material from the best of the Punisher comics. I won’t be inline for this. Unlike Batman that I can’t wait for, or Iron Man which just looks amazing.

Aw, What’s not to like about Punisher one? Ugh, a loaded question. It rattled a little at high speeds, but it did very well. It took a simple story and added time to think into the mix, much like the Leone style of movies. Not that this was a Leone… but you probably know Hensleigh was steering the boat in that direction. It was a comic book movie. Like RoboCop.
But it’s not for everyone. I thought it was an honest and true hearted adaptation. I’m just glad you didn’t play that wussy “Tampa” card.
