So far I am enjoying this show partly because I like psychology and science and this show blends it quite well. I actually feel like I am learning somethign useful.
In the show they use the concept of microfacial expressions to tell when people are lying. It is based on real science which gives it some credibility and they use real life photos when explaining the facial tics. They have use Presidents Clinton and Bush as well as quite a few celebrities.
So far we are three episodes in and it is doing well. They haven’t done as good of a job with personal hooks like the Mentalist has done which is why it is the top new drama of the year. A friend of a friend did a thesis on microfacial expressions and he regrets it. It is like opening Pandora’s box and he knows when many people are lying. Kind of a double-edged sword.
Check it out and give it a shot.

Nah, this show sucks. It is SO one dimensional, it’s sad. The mentalist has so many more options and dimensions to the “tricks” of the main character.
I watched this show once, and my wife, brother in law and sister in law all gave it thumbs down.
